Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 200g of beef, sliced
  • 2 medium turnips, diced
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup of broccoli florets
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Microwave Oven
  • Slow Cooker
  • Pressure Cooker

Instructions:

  • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In a pressure cooker, add the rice and 2 cups of water. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes, then let it naturally release for 5 minutes before quick releasing any remaining pressure.
  • In a slow cooker, add the sliced beef, diced turnips, diced potatoes, sliced carrots, and broccoli florets.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the vegetables and beef, and season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender and the beef is cooked through.
  • Once the rice is done, fluff it with a fork and serve it in bowls topped with the beef and vegetable mixture.
